Course Description

The KA Technology and Engineering curriculum encourages students to express their imagination and creativity through project-based learning and class competitions. This class is designed to show students new technologies and computer programs that they may not have seen before, while learning how to use team members and other resources to find their answers.

Some concepts that will be touched on are learning the problem solving process, learning how to store their work, creating animations and 3D models, and woodworking. In this class students will also create their digital portfolios that they will use while at KA.

  1. Student can demonstrate an understanding of TE related vocabulary and concepts.
  2. Student can demonstrates proper planning and process time on classroom projects.
  3. Student can apply academic experiences to the world of work, interrelationships, community, and/or life.
  4. Student demonstrates technical skills and final outcome on classroom project.

Summative Projects: Personal Portfolio, Drink Coasters, Pringles Package, Cantilever Beam, Animation Project

Communicate and collaborate with others to accomplish tasks and develop solutions
