Course Description

In this course, students will learn basic tool functions for some of the Adobe programs so that they can create digital artwork.  Students will also be introduced to the design process and learn what elements create a good design.

  1. Student can demonstrate an understanding of TE related vocabulary and concepts.
  2. Student can demonstrate proper planning and process time on classroom projects.
  3. Student can apply academic experiences to the world of work, interrelationships, community, and/or life.
  4. Student demonstrates technical skills and final outcome on classroom project

  • How are fonts used in a project?
  • How might a default setting be used in a program?
  • What makes up a good design?
  • What does it mean to forge a graphic?
  • Learns about different types of fonts
  • Creates images inside of the default settings of a program
  • Learns about the principles and elements of design.
  • Learns about the three steps (thumbnails, rough layout, comprehensive) in the design process.
  • Researches what it means to copyright or forge a graphic
Summative Projects: Create your own text, What are design principles, Logo, What is your own

  • Learns the basic tools of the graphics programs
